Paddle with us

Our club offers multiple ways you can join us on the water that are tailored to a variety of fitness levels, comfort, and experience. Whether you are a new paddler, or returning to the sport, or bring years of experience, you are welcome to participate in any way that best works for you.  The options below are very fluid and always open.

Check out our Paddling FAQs and Paddling Rules/Policies if you have more questions.

Try it out at Recreational Paddle

We host two, free recreational paddles every month as a perfect way for beginners to try paddling and learn about our club and Monterey Bay. If you are new to the sport of paddling, this is the perfect way to start!

Join us every first and third Sunday, 8:00am.

See Paddling FAQs for more details.   Start by completing this Waiver.

Join our Haumana Crew

Haumana means apprentice or learner. The focus of these crews is improving technique, fitness training, learning the skills for each seat in the canoe (including steering), and the Island cultural connections to paddling.

The time on the water will incorporate drills and one on one coaching to advance skills, along with fitness training. The distances paddled will be sustainable for beginners, but will be challenging enough to improve endurance and strength. Each outing will be tailored to the needs of the crew.

Join us on Thursdays, 5:00pm and Saturdays, 7:30am.
